Digital Mammography Subsystems

Analogic has provided digital radiography (DR) systems for general radiography for more than a decade. Today we are a leader in direct digital detector technology used in digital mammography.

We develop and manufacture flat-panel, direct digital detector plates used in mammography systems that are manufactured by major medical OEMs. These plates capture image data directly onto a patented detector made with a layer of amorphous Selenium deposited onto a thin-film transistor array.

Our detector technology enables digital tomosynthesis where multiple scans are taken across the breast from one side to the other at different angles. The scans are reconstructed to form a 3-D image for improved reading accuracy and reduced false positives.
