Analogic Corporation Receives $15 Million Order for Its
Explosive Assessment Computed Tomography Systems
 

PEABODY, MASS (February 8, 2008) – Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG) announced today that it has received an order from L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) for EXplosive Assessment Computed Tomography (EXACT®) systems valued at approximately $15 million. This order, which follows an order received in August 2007, calls for shipments to begin in June 2008. The EXACT is the heart of the certified eXaminer 3DX® Explosives Detection System (EDS), developed jointly by L-3 and Analogic and distributed exclusively by L-3 for screening checked baggage at airports. The system features advanced multi-slice CT imaging technology and provides full 3-D images of all the contents of a bag, enabling automatic detection of explosives.
