Fetal Monitoring at Home Found Effective
in Reducing Recurrent Stillbirth

Analogic Releases White Paper on Innovative
Home Fetal Monitoring Program

PEABODY, MASS. (March 26, 2007) – Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG) has published a white paper on the successful use of home fetal monitoring to reduce the risk of recurrent stillbirth from Umbilical Cord Accidents (UCA). The white paper is based on the preliminary results of a case study conducted by Dr. Jason Collins of the Pregnancy Institute in Slidell, Louisiana, which uses Analogic’s FETALGARD Lite® – NIBP fetal monitor to detect early signs of umbilical cord compression in pregnant women with a history of stillbirth due to UCA. Patients in the program — 30 pregnant women have participated so far — are monitored remotely from their homes during the last weeks of their pregnancy using the FETALGARD Lite – NIBP and special patient management, web-based software from e.Care Solutions. The study has shown that when the fetal heart rate is monitored during the mother’s most restful hours, typically in the evening or at night, early signs of stress due to umbilical cord compression can be detected and stillbirth averted.

The white paper discussing the study is available for download on Analogic’s web site: www.analogic.com/fetalhomemonitoring.
