ANEXA Corporation Announces First European Sale of New
SyneRad OMNI Digital Radiography Imaging System
First Unit Installed and Fully Operational at Medical Center Alkmaar
PEABODY, MASS. (November 9, 2005)Paul Plantinga, ANEXAs Director of Sales for Western Europe, announced today that the Medical Center Alkmaar (MCA), in The Netherlands, has purchased the SyneRad OMNI, ANEXAs most advanced complete direct Digital Radiography (DR) system, and that this first European installation is now fully operational in MCA.
The SyneRad OMNI is the only complete direct conversion radiology solution available that uses unique, groundbreaking Selenium2 technology, said Dr. Paul Algra, MCAs head of Radiology. The OMNI has unsurpassed image quality and offers the most versatile detector and X-ray-tube positioning I have ever seen. It uses relatively simple but very effective mechanical configurations. The touch-screen user interface is simple to learn and use, and the OMNIs software is fully DICOM 3.0 IHE-compliant.
Wim Tromp, President and CEO of Tromp Medical Engineering (TME), ANEXAs channel-distribution partner in The Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxemburg, said, Following our Selenium-detector DR experience with Hologic, we have found an extremely valuable partner in ANEXA Corporation. Although theirs is a new name in the radiology imaging arena, they draw upon decades of technological innovation, experience, and knowledge from their parent company, Analogic Corporation.
