ANALOGIC CORPORATION TO EXHIBIT NEW COBRA
CHECKPOINT ENTRY SECURITY SYSTEM
AT 2004 HOMELAND & GLOBAL SECURITY SUMMIT
PEABODY, MA (March 23, 2004) - Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG) today announced that it will exhibit its innovative new COBRA Explosive and Weapons Detection System for checkpoint entry security at the 2004 Homeland & Global Security Summit to be held at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. on March 31 April 1, 2004.
The COBRA is designed to provide automatic screening of carry-on/in baggage at such venues as airports, government buildings, and mail services. This high-performance, easy-to-operate detection system integrates advanced Computed Tomography (CT) scanning and leading-edge image interpretation software to screen baggage and parcels for potential threats. The COBRA generates three-dimensional images of the entire contents of a carry-on/in bag or parcel, and automatically alerts the operator as to potential threats, including minute quantities of explosives, guns, knives, and very difficult-to-detect sharp weapons.
