Analogic Corporation Appoints Craig Burch Vice President
of Marketing for CT, PET & MRI

PEABODY, MA (October 1, 2004) – John Wood, President and CEO of Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG), announced today that Craig A. Burch has joined the Company as Vice President of Marketing for Volumetric Imaging Modalities. In this newly created position, Burch will work to instill a more customer-driven focus into Analogic’s engineering developments in the medical imaging sector. He will steer the direction of new product developments for niche markets in areas such as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT).

Mr. Burch brings a great deal of experience to this new marketing role. In 1989, he founded Micro Devices Corporation of Ramsey, New Jersey, a consulting firm where he served as President. In this capacity, he worked with a number of medical imaging and high-tech companies, including Analogic, on innovative sales, product development, and strategic marketing programs.

Mr. Burch earned degrees in electrical engineering/computer science and biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, after which he was responsible for CT sales and marketing for Siemens Medical Solutions, USA. He has worked with cutting-edge CT technology since it was invented in the 1970s.
