Power Electronics for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Systems
Analogic, with over 15 years of design and manufacturing experience in the field, is a leading supplier of power electronics for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems to medical device manufacturers around the world. Our equipment powers half the MRI systems in use today.
Analogic's innovative Unified System Approach to solving the challenges of Radio Frequency (RF) amplifier and Gradient Power System (GPS) design has led to many patents related to our work in both areas. We have also developed the world's first Integrated Power System for MRI.

RF Amplifiers
All Analogic RF models feature:
- Ultra gain and phase linearity
- Patented Analogic technology using proprietary power FET devices, hybrid combiners, and low-noise switching power supply
- Advanced packaging and cooling techniques
- Real-time thermal management to adjust the performance of RF FETs based on junction temperature
Gradient Power Supplies (GPSs)
Gradient power supplies consist of three gradient amplifiers (one for each axis) and a common power supply.
Analogic GPS models:
- Provide their own test waveforms and fault diagnosis for quick installation, easy operation, and diagnostics/servicing
- Include a large capacitor bank for pulsed operation
- Are modular, facilitating repair
- Are ready for turnkey operation
- All supplies fit into an EIA std. 19" wide rack (see Features/Descriptions - to see whether a rack is included)
