This is a regular full-time position.

Under general supervision, provides technical assistance to engineers in the design and development of products or concepts. Requires knowledge of engineering principles and concepts and application of acquired knowledge.

DUTIES:

Designs circuit and system layouts from schematics, sketches or oral instructions. Applies original and creative approaches to design tasks.

Devises and develops tests to assist in completion and evaluation of designs and prototypes.

Constructs prototype units and systems.

Completes design details and develops methods to satisfy design requirements.

Prepares engineering test specifications and procedures.

Troubleshoots, adjusts, and modifies prototypes, solving practical technical problems.

Directs and trains technicians in the development, test, calibration, and modification of less complex circuits and systems.

Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

BSEE or equivalent.
